Text Message Terms
PostOp Genius LLC
Effective: 31 October 2026 ยท Version 1
These terms cover the optional morning text messages from PostOp Genius. They sit alongside the End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy, which still apply.
1. What you are signing up for
If you turn on morning texts, PostOp Genius will text the mobile number you signed in with on mornings when your plan has something new, at about 8am in your time zone. On mornings when nothing in your plan changes, we send nothing.
Each text says your plan has something new, and may say what is new, for example an instruction that starts that day. It links to the app, where your whole plan is.
Texts are not private the way the app is. Text messages are not encrypted. They pass through your mobile carrier and may show on your lock screen, so someone who sees your phone could learn that you are recovering from surgery. If that concerns you, leave morning texts off. The app works the same without them.
Message frequency varies, and is at most one message a day. Texts stop on their own after the last day your plan covers.
2. Cost
We do not charge for these texts. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
3. Your consent
Turning on morning texts is optional. You do not have to agree to them to use PostOp Genius, and turning them off changes nothing else about the service.
4. Stopping them
Reply STOP to any text to stop all further texts. We will send one message confirming you have stopped, and nothing after it. You may also turn them off in the app's menu. To start again, reply START or turn them back on in the app.
5. Help
Reply HELP to any text for help, or write to support@postopgenius.com.
6. These texts are not monitored
We do not read replies, other than the words STOP, START and HELP. Do not use these texts to contact your practice or to report a problem with your recovery. If you have a concern about your recovery, call your practice. In an emergency, call 911.
7. Delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. A text may arrive late or not at all, so do not rely on it to know what to do on a given day. Your plan in the app is always the complete and current version.
8. Changing or giving up your number
If you change your mobile number or stop using it, turn off morning texts or reply STOP first, so they do not go to whoever has the number next.
9. Privacy
How we handle your number and your text message choice is set out in the Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
